Huge shoes to fill: Bulldogs lack experience at wide receiver

Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen knows that some players are going to have to "fill some big shoes."
The Bulldogs lost their top three wide receivers from last with the departures of Chad Bumphis, Chris Smith and Arceto Clark.
There are several receivers who played in supporting roles last year, but this is their year.
They have very little experience.
"I don't count the exact numbers, but we don't have a lot of returning receptions this year, (and) career receptions aren't coming back," Mullen said. "If you combine Joe (Morrow), (Robert Johnson) and Jameon (Lewis), I don't even know if you'll get 50 career receptions coming back. They have huge shoes to fill."
