It can be a little difficult for high school football coaches to plan a practice this time of year in Mississippi.
Although the weather can be somewhat predictable with hot and humid conditions existing and the chance of a thunderstorm popping up at any time, coaches can be caught in tough positions as to whether to send their teams to the practice field or not.
Every day this week, it seems a dark cloud has come across the Starkville area at some point during the afternoon with the capability of producing dangerous lightning.
The rain coming from one of those clouds is not the problem and coaches don't mind their players getting a little bit wet if they can go outside and get something accomplished.
However, lightning is a different issue.
