"Better Boards" workshop to increase effectiveness

August 16, 2013

Volunteer Starkville will host a training workshop for board members titled "Better Boards, Better Community Development" from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.

James Barnes from the Mississippi State University Extension Service will lead the workshop to help those who sit on boards become more effective in their duties. Barnes has been involved with lectures on board members for more than 10 years. He said the workshop would not only help boards and board members, but the community as well.
