Community members came out in force on Thursday evening to make their voices heard at the Commission on Starkville/Oktibbeha Consolidated School District’s first public hearing.

The hearing allowed anyone from the public to address the seven-member commission about the Starkville and Oktibbeha County school districts’ coming consolidation. Commission members couldn’t respond to the public’s questions or comments, but took concerns and suggestions into consideration for their continued mission to prepare a report for the Mississippi legislature by March.
