The college football is not months away and not weeks away.
Rather it is days and just a few short hours away.
Mississippi State's season starts this Saturday in Houston, Tex. when it takes on the No. 13 (Associated Press) Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Mullen and his team have been anxiously awaiting this game since the end of last season.
"To get out there and finally go get to play again, it's going to be pretty special," Mullen said at his Monday press conference. I know our guys to open the season this way, obviously on national television against a team ranked 13th in the country, is a pretty special way to start the season.
