SA mixes up lineup in Thursday's softball loss

August 29, 2013

Kayla Mosley decided to shake things up Thursday afternoon with her the lineup.
The Starkville Academy head coach moved Karlie Lockhart to catcher and put Maridee Higginbotham in the circle in her stead.
Although the change wasn't immediately seen in a 12-2 five-inning loss to the Lady Vikings of Central Academy, it will help in the long run.
"That was Dee's first time to ever start at pitching," Mosley said. "I moved eight people in the lineup defensively. That was everybody's first game in kind a relatively new position. I think we're going to be stronger defensively with where I've put them. It's just going to take them some time to get use to it."
