Looking out for No. 1 isn’t always selfish

Taking the moral high ground on behalf of someone else is rather noble, and it can be a good decision overall.

Some circumstances, though, call for good business decisions.

When looking at the totality of global circumstances — taking into consideration U.S. domestic, economic and military status as well as volatility in the Middle East — it is not a good business decision for the U.S. to take military action against Syria.
