Mistakes hurt Bulldogs against Trojans in volleyball

August 31, 2013

A young team can be expected to make a few errors during the course of the season.
For the first time, the Mississippi State Bulldogs were hurt by mistakes during a volleyball match Saturday afternoon in the Maroon Classic and lost a 3-1 decision to the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.
The Bulldogs may have had more kills than the Trojans (55-54), but were forced into 29 errors for a .150 attack percentage.
"These young girls have to learn that they've got to come to play at a high level every time they step out there," MSU head coach Jenny Hazelwood said. "We were making kills, but making a ton of errors as well. Those are the experience things we're going to learn by doing it."
