The Commission on Consolidated Starkville School District Structure will meet at 5 p.m. today to discuss the possibility of allowing Oktibbeha County School District students to attend schools in bordering counties.

The consolidation process began earlier this year when Gov. Phil Bryant approved House Bill 716, which called for the merging of the Oktibbeha County and Starkville school districts. The districts will merge in July 2015. Part of the consolidation process includes a seven-member commission studying the issue and reporting to the legislature by March 1.
