Starkville High School football coach Jamie Mitchell knows how important Darius Grayer is to his football team.
When Grayer was injured and wasn't able to be a factor during last week's game at West Point, Mitchell missed him.
Grayer, still not at 100 percent, was involved in a key moment of Friday's 34-14 victory by the Yellowjackets against the Southaven Chargers.
In the third quarter, Starkville lined up in punt formation on fourth down and 2 yards to go.
Grayer took the direct snap from center and picked up the necessary yards to keep the drive alive.
"You can tell he's still not 100 percent, but he's a guy we believe in for sure," Mitchell said of Grayer.
