AUBURN, Ala. – Senior quarterback Tyler Russell traveled with Mississippi State and dressed out.
He just didn't play.
Russell missed last week's home opener after suffering a concussion against Oklahoma State in week one.
MSU head coach Dan Mullen said Russell was not physically cleared to play.
For the second week in a row, sophomore Dak Prescott got the start under center.
Prescott played well in a 24-20 loss to Auburn Saturday night.
