SA seniors recognized during final home game

September 19, 2013

Starkville Academy's senior day featured three girls who weren't on the roster last season.
Nora Kathryn Carroll, Maridee Higginbotham and Lexy Ballard were honored for their efforts before the Lady Volunteers dropped at 14-10 decision in a five-inning time limit game to Kemper Academy on Thursday.
"Without them coming out and playing this year, we definitely wouldn't be the same team that we are now," SA coach Kayla Mosley said. "I know our record may not show it, but these girls have come so far this season. Without the help from those three kids, we just wouldn't have been able to do what we have been. We're really going to miss them."
