If Mississippi State was still thinking about last week's heart-breaking loss to Auburn, it didn't show on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs rolled past Troy 62-7 at Davis Wade Stadium in front of a sellout crowd.
"I felt, at practice, we had a much better week this last week," MSU head coach Dan Mullen. "We were going to improve from week three to four and it showed out there on the field."
The Bulldogs (2-2) gave up the game-winning touchdown pass to the Tigers last Saturday with 10 seconds left after leading for most of the second half.
MSU took the lead in the first quarter of this one and never relinquished it.Â
Bulldog quarterback Dak Prescott looked good for the third week in a row. After getting the start in the home opener against Alcorn State, the sophomore signal caller has not played in a backup role.
Prescott finished the game 13-of-21 passing for 233 yards and one touchdown. He rushed the ball five times for 53 yards and two scores. He also caught one pass for 36 yards with one touchdown.
