After a solid performance against Troy that helped the team to 235 rushing yards, Mississippi State senior guard Gabe Jackson was selected as Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Jackson helped the Bulldogs to a 62-7 win over the Trojans on Saturday night.
"He's up there with some of the great ones I've had," MSU head coach Dan Mullen said of Jackson in his post-game press conference on Saturday. "He's a guy that loves football, he's got a lot of experience and he's got a lot of talent. (If) you combine his talent with his work ethic and his experience knowing how to prepare, how to get ready to play and how to handle the game situation, he's right up there with all of those guys (some of Mullen's former offensive lineman)."
