City continues push for fiber Web service

October 2, 2013

For Starkville and dozens of other Mississippi communities, the road to the fiber-optic frontier now has some hard deadlines.

Communications company C Spire announced Monday at its corporate headquarters in Ridgeland that communities interested in receiving its “Fiber to the Home” ultra high speed Internet service had until Oct. 20 to submit a request for information (RFI). The company will announce finalists for which community will be the first to receive the service on Nov. 4.
