The Greater Starkville Development Partnership kicked off its fall 2013 Blue Ribbon Business Resources Series on Wednesday with a three-member panel about the Starkville and Oktibbeha County school districtsâ€™ consolidation.
Consolidation began earlier this year, when Gov. Phil Bryant approved House Bill 716, which called for the two districts to merge in July 2015. The bill created a seven-member commission to study the consolidation to prepare a report to the Mississippi legislature by March.
