Schools focus of Power B’fast

The Greater Starkville Development Partnership kicked off its fall 2013 Blue Ribbon Business Resources Series on Wednesday with a three-member panel about the Starkville and Oktibbeha County school districts’ consolidation.

Consolidation began earlier this year, when Gov. Phil Bryant approved House Bill 716, which called for the two districts to merge in July 2015. The bill created a seven-member commission to study the consolidation to prepare a report to the Mississippi legislature by March.
