MSU takes twinbill from Shorter College

Mississippi State softball coach Vann Stuedeman said last week that there would be a baseball-type of mentality brought to games next spring when it comes to managing the pitching staff.
Fans who attended Sunday's doubleheader against Shorter College got to see some of that approach.
In the second game, Shana Sherrod started the game in the circle and got it under control, while Alexis Silkwood came in and worked a perfect fifth, sixth and seventh as the Bulldogs capped the sweep with a 7-6 victory.
