East Webster losing games to tough foes

After dropping the last two contests some might be wondering if East Webster’s six-win undefeated start was simply a fluke.
Were they simply lucky? Were they playing what could be called cupcake opponents or are the losses a result of the playing in an extremely competitive division?
After watching the team in action Friday night against district foe Calhoun City, the latter seems to be the truer of the statements.
Class 2A, Region 4 features what could be considered some of the toughest teams in the state this year. Teams like Okolona, Bruce, Eupora and the Wolverines Friday night opponent Calhoun City make for week-after-week of strong competition.
