Finishing a week of firsts

October 14, 2013

It’s been a week of firsts for me, dear reader.

I managed to – somehow – break the driver’s side door handle on my car. Anyone who has known me for any length of time could tell you I don’t always have the best luck with machinery, particularly of the transportative variety. I’ve been exceptionally lucky with Mickey (my car, because all cars have a personality, and as such, they should have a name). Of course, he joined the family at just 2 years old, and I’ve tried to take relatively good care of him, so these are all factors in play. However, I’m afraid, despite decent engine care and maintenance, Mickey is showing signs of age. I suppose it’s only natural; I’m not exactly easy on a car. My last job in Kentucky put us on the road 80 miles a day, minimum.
