Sunday will be a special time for the families of three local athletes who all consider Starkville their home and have gone on to become hall of famers in their respective professional sports.
The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum plans to memorialize Bailey Howell, James Thomas "Cool Papa" Bell and Jerry Rice for their contributions on the national stage.
An open house is scheduled between 1:30-3 p.m. to view a permanent exhibit for the honorees at the museum on Sunday and the public is invited to attend. The museum is located at 206 Fellowship Street.
