Ross helps SHS by finishing first

October 20, 2013

Athletic teams always want to defend the home field and as a senior, that desire becomes even stronger at your last meet.
On Saturday, Starkville’s Alex Ross fulfilled that goal as he was the first varsity boy to cross the finish line at the Starkville High School Invitational.
“I know Alex is feeling good,” Yellowjackets coach Caroline Woomer said. “Alex is not the kind of guy who talks very much and if he does, he talks quietly so you don’t always know what he thinks or feels, but I know he is really excited. He worked really hard.”
