Mississippi State's only constant from the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division is Kentucky.
The Bulldogs and Wildcats have been playing every year since 1990. During that span, MSU is 14-9 against UK.
Coach Dan Mullen took over the Bulldog program in 2009 and he is 4-0 against the Wildcats.Â
With the Wildcats always being on the Bulldog schedule, Mullen views the game as a rivalry game.
"Since I've been here, we've played Kentucky every single year," Mullen said at his Monday press conference. "That's your East crossover, and that leads to a little bit of a rivalry. That's the team on the other side of the league you play every year. I know our guys will look forward to this game and treat it as a little bit of a rivalry game for us."Â
MSU host Kentucky this Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPN.Â
