MABEN â€“ East Webster and Enterprise treated fans to free softball on Tuesday evening.
With such evenly-matched teams, it was no surprise that game three of the Class 2A South State championship was a thriller. It came down to the bottom of the eighth, but East Webster pulled through to achieve a 6-5 victory in game three.
â€śI want to give Enterprise a lot of credit because they are good, they are solid, they got heart, they work, and they fight,â€ť East Webster coach Lee Berryhill said. â€śGive them credit, but the positive side of that is we do the same thing. It could have gone either way and either team deserved it. I give them all the credit, but our girls just would not quit.â€ť
