Next stop: State title series for East Webster softball

MABEN – East Webster and Enterprise treated fans to free softball on Tuesday evening.
With such evenly-matched teams, it was no surprise that game three of the Class 2A South State championship was a thriller. It came down to the bottom of the eighth, but East Webster pulled through to achieve a 6-5 victory in game three.
“I want to give Enterprise a lot of credit because they are good, they are solid, they got heart, they work, and they fight,” East Webster coach Lee Berryhill said. “Give them credit, but the positive side of that is we do the same thing. It could have gone either way and either team deserved it. I give them all the credit, but our girls just would not quit.”
