Eupora travels to face tough Calhoun City squad

October 25, 2013

The Eupora Eagles will be looking to hand Calhoun City its first division loss tonight.
Eupora coach Junior Graham, however, knows that will be no easy task because the Wildcats pose issues on both sides of the ball.
“They are so well-coached,” Graham said. “They play physical and have a physical defensive line. Their two safeties are veteran players that are really special guys. Offensively, they throw about 1,000 different formations at you. They really keep you off-balanced and are constantly trying to leverage you offensively.”
The Eagles (6-1, 1-1) do have momentum on their side as they rebounded from a loss two weeks ago to pick up a victory last week against Okolona.
“Obviously, we were able to draw a lot of stuff we were able to correct out of our loss and it made a productive week in practice. We improved a lot against Okolona. It was a good win and we just hope we can carry some of it into Calhoun City.”
The homestanding Wildcats are 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the region.
