Although the title isn’t well-known, the Starkville Community Theatre’s newest show, “A Catered Affair” is a story many can relate to. The musical tells the story of a girl from the Bronx trying to plan a small wedding while others have differing opinions.

The theatre’s production of the musical is based off of Harvey Fierstein’s book. Fierstein wrote the book based on the musical that ran on Broadway from March to July 2008 in which he starred.
