Starkville High School point guard Blair Schaefer has been rewarded for hard work.
Just days before the Lady Yellowjackets begin their season, the program and Schaefer have found out that she was been chosen for The (Jackson) Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen team.
"It's a tremendous honor for Blair to be recognized as one of the top 12 players in the state," SHS girls coach Kristie Williams said. "It goes to show just how hard she has been working. It's a credit to the hard work she has put in. It's a tremendous honor she has worked so hard to accomplish.
"For her to give of herself to, not only this basketball program, but other areas of the community, it's a way to get that pat on the back to say 'job well done.'"
Schaefer, the daughter of Mississippi State women's coach Vic Schaefer, averaged 22.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds last season.
