Elmer Otto Templeton, Jr.

Elmer Otto Templeton, Jr., 87, passed away on November 5, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.  He was a local businessman and member of First Baptist Church in Starkville, where he was a Deacon and Church Training Director for many years.  He was a graduate of Mississippi State University.  He reached many people through his ministry with The Fellowship of Christian Magicians and also had a passion for genealogy research.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Otto Templeton, Sr. and Odelia Johnson Templeton; wife, Corinne Edwards Templeton; and brother, Charles Henry Templeton.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Templeton of Starkville, MS; daughter, Elisa Kennedy and husband Kurt of Mobile, AL; son, Tee Templeton of New York City; granddaughters, Corinne Corley and Christine Weakley; niece, Mary Beth Langston; and nephew, Chip Templeton.
Visitation for Mr. Templeton is scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2013 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Starkville, with the funeral service immediately following.  Rev. Chip Stevens and Rev. Clifton Curtis will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
