Foster watches Hebron grow, mature

November 12, 2013

Foster

Coach David Foster has watched as his Hebron Christian School Eagles have grown and matured during the football season.
Hebron went from losing to Delta Academy by six points (22-16) on Sept. 27 to winning by the same margin against the same opponent in overtime 26-20 last Friday to open the MAIS 8-Man Playoffs.
Since losing to Delta Academy in the regular season meeting, the Eagles have won six-straight games. They stand 8-3 overall going into Friday's second round playoff matchup at Sharkey-Issaquena Academy.
"My team kind of gelled at that point and we turned into a different team," Foster said. "In the weeks to come, we were in district play and we grew some every game and got better. We still make mistakes and we still work on those, but as a team, we kind of turned the corner."
