Local TEA Party bashes Common Core standards

The Starkville TEA Party hosted a Monday night meeting at Starkville Sportsplex to talk about what it considers the dangers of the Common Core State Standards Initiative.

Common Core is an education initiative developed by the National Governors’ Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) that aims to bring state curricula into alignment through a set of unified educational standards.
