EUPORA – It was 14 years ago when Junior Graham took his first head coaching job.
Since that time, he has enjoyed multiple successes on the football field.
This past Friday as Eupora defeated South Delta in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs, Graham got one of his biggest accomplishments in the form of his 150th career victory.
“150 is a special number for any coach,” Graham said. “I have been surrounded by so many good players and coaches in the 14 years of my head-coaching experience. That is not just coach speak. It is the gospel.”
Graham means it when he says that the biggest things for him are the players and coaches he gets to mentor. Sure the wins are special, but the relationships formed are what last and where the memories are. That is something Graham learned when he was first starting out and something he has carried with him every step of the way.
