Bulldogs sign three players, fill their needs

November 13, 2013

When it comes to recruiting, Mississippi State head coach Rick Ray is looking to fill needs.
The second-year Bulldog coach felt he did that with the three early signees he got on Wednesday.
MSU received letter of intents from Alabama forward Demetrius Houston, Jackson power forward Oliver Black and Greenwood guard Maurice Dunlap II.
"We want to make sure that we recruit guys who have a skill level that can go out and make shots, but can also dribble and pass the basketball too," Ray said on his Wednesday morning teleconference. "Now you can't ignore athleticism. I think you've got to make sure you're taking care of that need too, but we just want kids who are interested in working on their game."
