Paul A. Bryant asked Mississippi State University students why many of them took more than four years to graduate — and even then, sometimes didn’t graduate at all.
Bryant, academic dean for Virginia College in Biloxi, has also been an educational consultant, fundraiser, grant writer, radio talk show host, motivational speaker and more. He cited several college graduation rates, saying they were at 67 percent nationwide for students who spent six years at the undergraduate level, and at MSU, that same rate fell to 57 percent.
