Eupora moves on in Class 2A

November 16, 2013

BOONEVILLE – Coach Junior Graham summarized Friday's game against East Union in one phrase, "we live for another week."
After leading 28-7 at the half, Eupora defeated the Urchins 42-7 to move forward in Class 2A playoffs to face Baldwyn.
"We did a great job," Graham said. "We went out and moved the ball. The offense had a few big plays and the defense came back in the second half and did a good job. It was a good win to get behind us."
A quartet of athletes highlighted Eupora's scoring, including Claude Herrard, who provided two touchdowns from the 1-yard line.
Lamontae Salley also scored twice, once from the 5-yard line and once from 3 yards out on his way to rushing an approximate 200 yards.
Rounding out the Eagles offense was Trey Pittman, who connected with Corson Gunn on a pair of touchdown passes.
