Eupora starts fast, but loses at Baldwyn

November 23, 2013

BALDWYN – It looked like the Eupora Eagles were going to cruise to an easy victory Friday night.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and were dominant as they kept Baldwyn out of the end zone,
That was the best 12 minutes for Eupora.
The Baldwyn Bearcats scored 31-unanswered points to beat the Eagles 31-14 at sloppy Bearcat Field at Latimer Park in a misting rain in the Class 2A North semifinals.
"They outplayed us," Eupora head coach Junior Graham said.
With the loss, Eupora's season comes to an end. The Eagles end with a 10-3 overall record and will not be able to defend their North Half championship.
