Jackets had good season, not satisfied

November 27, 2013

The Starkville Yellowjackets fell short of their goal in winning their second-straight football state championship this season.
That doesn't mean that coach Jamie Mitchell is any less proud of what his team was able to accomplish.
Starkville finished with a 9-4 overall record and 6-1 in Class 6A, Region 2 that was good for second place.
The season ended for the Jackets in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs with a 20-6 loss at South Panola last Friday.
