STRINGER – One more game exists before the French Camp Panthers can hang up their cleats and it is a big one.
On Friday night, the team travelled south to face Stringer in the Class A South State championship game. At the end of four quarters, the Panthers stood on top 56-35 and with a date in the Class A State Championship next week.
"Our guys really when they buckle it down and get it figured out, they can play,"  French Camp coach Nathan Wright said. "Hats off the Stringer. They coached a great game, (and) played a great game. Last year we made the turnovers and this year they turned it over a little bit and that was the difference."
