The Mississippi State Bulldogs kept digging themselves deeper and deeper into a hole, until it decided to stop and try and climb out.
MSU got nearly out of the hole on Thursday night, before it fell back down and were unable to recover.
The Bulldogs trailed the TCU Horned Frogs by 18 early in the second half, before cutting the lead down to three points with 2:28 left.Â
It was as close as MSU got as TCU went on to win a 71-61 decision inside Humphrey Coliseum as part of the Big 12/Southeastern Conference Challenge.
