Choctaw County represented in Bernard Blackwell Classic

December 17, 2013

In 1950, former Mississippi State University football coach Arthur “Slick” Morton oversaw the beginning of a new all-star game in the state of Mississippi.
Flash forward 65 years, the game is now known as the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic and is set to be played this Saturday at Joseph Milner Stadium in Gulfport.
Among the roster of the South team will be a pair of athletes from Choctaw County. Lining up on the offensive line will be senior Paxton Sims, while fellow Charger Trey Brown will make his mark on the defense.
