Mississippi State's Tyson Cunningham has fond memories of the Joe Horne Columbus Christmas Classic.
While playing for coach Sammy Smith at Columbus High School, Cunningham remembers the fun atmosphere that was created for basketball this time of the year.
"The Christmas Classic was always a fun and energetic atmosphere," Cunningham said. "So many people came and so many quality teams from the area came out to support it. It was always a fun experience having those teams and the fans. It always seemed to be a packed house."
The Falcons host the event for the 17th year, which takes place Friday and Saturday inside the two gymnasiums at CHS.
