Mississippi State spent all of last week getting prepared for its last and final game of the season.
The roll into Memphis, Tenn., today in advance of the New Year's Eve AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
The Bulldogs (6-6) will play Conference USA champion Rice (10-3) on Tuesday.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN.
There were not many distractions last week for MSU. School was out and the only thing on the players and coaches' minds was practice.
"We've gotten into gameplan mode, working the gameplan, working on defense and the older guys getting back into rhythm," MSU defensive coordinator Geoff Collins said last week. "When we leave here (Friday), we want to be game ready."
