Bulldogs comfortable at Hump, Aberdeen defeats Mt. Lebanon

December 27, 2013

It's not surprising that a group of Bulldogs are very comfortable playing at Humphrey Coliseum.
This is the third year that the Aberdeen Bulldogs have participated in the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump Christmas Tournament and they benefitted from that on Thursday.
Aberdeen rallied from a first-quarter deficit to defeat the Mt. Lebanon (Pa.) Blue Devils 56-45 in the second game of the day.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-4 with the victory.
"It's just something they are excited about," Aberdeen coach Cornelius Gilleylen said about his team playing at Humphrey Coliseum. "It's more being excited than nervous. It's just different, but I told them the goals won't move. They are still 10-feet high."
After Mt. Lebanon took an 11-7 lead after the first quarter, the Bulldogs held the Blue Devils to six points in the second quarter to gain a 21-17 advantage at halftime.
