Aberdeen caps time in Starkville with a victory against Lausanne

December 29, 2013

The Aberdeen Bulldogs capped a successful run at the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump Christmas Tournament with a 65-60 victory over Lausanne Collegiate on Saturday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs won all three games they played at the event.
“I just call that getting better,” Aberdeen head coach Cornelius Gilleylen said. ‘We came out. We had fun. We had to play a different style (Saturday), but we executed. It was an interesting game, but we came out on top.”
The Bulldogs took control of the game from the opening moments as they outscored the Lynx 18-10 in the first period.
Offensively the point scoring flip-flopped in the second period as it was Lausanne coming out on top, outscoring Aberdeen 11-10. The points were not enough to stall the Bulldogs as the team carried a 28-21 lead into halftime.
