In fitting fashion, the host Starkville Yellowjackets was the team to close the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump Christmas Classic and in a testament to its strength, they picked up their third win with a 42-39 victory over Mt. Lebanon of Pittsburgh.
“This game was played at a different type of pace than we normally play at so we had to grind it out and play a lot tougher than we normally play,” Starkville head coach Greg Carter said. “I am just proud of the guys to pull it out and come out of the tournament 3-0.”
