Rice head coach David Bailiff said on Monday that Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen has done one of the best coaching jobs in the country this season.
The Bulldogs have been riddled with injuries all season long. Senior quarterback Tyler Russell was injured in the first game of the season and was never the same.
Senior running back LaDarius Perkins has battled injury after injury this season.
Somehow Mullen and the Bulldogs managed to overcome those key injuries this year.
MSU capped it off with a 44-7 win over Rice in Memphis, Tenn. at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl at Liberty Bowl Stadium Tuesday afternoon.
