The trip to Florida last Thursday night was an eye-opener for the Mississippi State women's basketball team.
In an 82-72 loss to the Gators in Gainesville, coach Vic Schaefer said the Bulldogs "saw some of our issues," and have spent the last two days trying to get those corrected.
Schaefer said the most important thing to do in today's Southeastern Conference home opener against the Auburn Tigers is "to play well."
"That's the biggest thing," Schaefer said. "We know by watching the film what happened the other night. Not taking anything away from Florida, but we just didn't play very well and didn't play smart. I think our kids get it."
Fans that attend today's 2 p.m. contest at Humphrey Coliseum might not see much in the way of points.
