Mississippi State will not glide into the Southeastern Conference season with an easy matchup.
Rather the Bulldogs will be tossed into the fire.
State (10-3) opens up league play today when it takes on the No. 15 Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington.
“I’m looking forward to getting started with SEC play,” MSU head coach Rick Ray said. “We have a daunting task in front of us to start off play at Kentucky. Obviously, (Kentucky is) a really talented ball club.
“We’ve been preparing for them here the past couple of days and looking forward to the challenge.”
