Lady Volunteers begin home stand strong

January 12, 2014

Saturday marked the beginning of a four-game home streak of conference games for the Starkville Academy and the Lady Volunteers started the home stand in good fashion by defeating Magnolia Heights 58-40.
“It was really good to get a home win,” Starkville Academy coach Glenn Schmidt said. “We told them in the locker room before the game (that) we are going to go one game at a time. It is really good to be playing at home and get a win in the conference.”
