The Mississippi State Bulldogs saw one get away from them in the second half in its first Southeastern Conference game of the season against Kentucky.
A second game was on the verge of getting away in the second half, but the Bulldogs held serve and finished out the game.
MSU lead for most of the first half and part of the second half before seeing its lead diminish. The Bulldogs rebounded on a way to a 76-72 victory over in-state rival Ole Miss Saturday afternoon inside Humphrey Coliseum.
“Obviously, (it's) a great win for our guys,” MSU head coach Rick Ray said. “The biggest reason (was) it’s not just the fact that we beat Ole Miss, (but) it’s the fact that we dealt with some adversity and found a way to win the basketball game.”
